The Pavilion is located in the extensive dune area at Bakkum and Castricum, which is adjacent to the North Holland Dune Reserve. It is not for nothing that this location was chosen for more than hundred years to build Duin & Bosch: an institute to help the ‘mental ill’ to recover.  Outside the civilized world a world emerged.

Duin & Bosch was originally built in a beautiful Swiss ‘chalet style’. The buildings were set up large: spacious entrances with beautiful staircases. High ceilings. Large windows. Situated on the south to take maximum advantage of the sun. All that quality has been preserved for more than a century. The Pavilion has solidified over time and is now being restored. All that is valuable will be preserved: the generous dimensions, the space around, the traditional construction. There is plenty of modern comfort added: private terraces, a large shared green area and parking places out of sight.

MONUMENTAL LIVING,
IN THE PAVILION

The Pavilion comprises a total of 12 mansions and 5 apartments in the historic Pavilion II Men, plus 5 newly built detached villas. The monumental pavilion building is being restored and modernized in collaboration with architectural firm Braaksma & Roos. In 2014, this agency won the Monuments Prize of the municipality of The Hague for their Garden Hall in The Hague's Municipality Museum. This proves, among other things, their ability to translate historical design into current requirements. You live 'new' in a house full of stories, a house that can already be seen on old photographs.

The Pavilion as a whole is surrounded by lawns and trees. Between the detached villas and the pavilion building there is an intimate street where grass strips connect the terraces of the mansions and the gardens of the villas. That is a wonderful place to meet neighbors, to drink a glass together. And for children this is a wonderfully sheltered place to play and always meet a few friends.

Saturday, September 16, 2017, project De Nieuwe Loet officially went on sale. In restaurant De Oude Keuken we received many interested parties during the sales presentation. The first registrations and allocations have already taken place.

ESTATE PROJECT “DE LOET” IN TV PROGRAM “WOONTIPS” ON RTL4

The special project De Nieuwe Loet, in which the monumental pavilion on the estate in Castricum is being transformed into 17 homes and 5 new detached villas, was featured on Saturday 1 December, 2017 in the Woontips TV program on RTL4. The program focuses on the unique location on the Duin & Bosch estate near the beach and living in an atmosphere of a century ago with the comfort of today.
